about

I edited like 75% of this album in my car. I had the computer plugged into the speakers so it was like an immediate car test. Trainyard Groove, for example, was edited in its entirety in an empty Toys 'R' Us parking lot.

Recorded at "Big Shot Lounge," this album fuses noise, funk, drone, station, grime, and a whole lotta love. I think it's safe to say that I worked on this album harder and longer than any other album I've ever put out, and that kind of mind-numbing thoroughness resulted in an album that's actually somewhat polished (a first for my discography). This album was done in collusion with the big shot himself Grant Lambert--who, by allowing me to mooch off his equipment and record some very, very bad stuff, was instrumental in my never ending quest to work up usable material for this project. Sit back and enjoy the experimental headache that critics everywhere are calling "music"--that's right it's the self-titled stroke of injustice "feck".

The reviews are in:

"Worth one listen, maybe more, maybe less."
- Allmusic

"That's not music. That's just awful."
- Michael Wilson

"Agreeable."
- Pitchfork

"It's not that bad, but it's not that good."
- Time

"Who the fuck is Richard Ledbetter"
- Grant Lambert

"It's like shoegaze on crack."
- Peter Hoffpauir

"Station!"
- Rolling Stone
